Shield knee pads have been on the market since 2017 and quickly became GAIN's best selling product - they were the first ever high quality knee pads designed specifically for freestyle scooters. Gain has made a new design and strived to produce the market's absolute best knee protectors for scooter riding and the result is these fantastic new protectors.

Let's see the changes - there are so many! The cushions may look a bit similar, but these have been taken to a whole new level, and every single material is new and improved.

The base is made of this checkered super strong rip-stop Cordura material, the Kevlar strip on the lower part of the front is even more durable. The top has strong AirMesh fabric for more ventilation and for a stylish look.

The Shield-pro has three segments instead of just two (top segment, middle section with the new foam insert, and the new, separate bottom segment which allows it to mold/shape even better, without putting any pressure on your shin.

The main foam insert has been designed to form perfectly around the knee, it is multi-layered, reinforced with anti-shock foam instead of just a standard single density foam. It works beautifully for big tricks, as it absorbs much higher levels of impact than the previous version. There is a rather sticky silicone printed strip inside the pads that prevents them from sliding down.

The new straps are much stronger and the buckles are made of Duratex neoprene for increased product life. The -replaceable- plastic covers are made from a new, more flexible compound – and they will be available in many of our unique 'Swirl' colours, so you can even upgrade your covers to match the color of your scooter!
